There are different forms of poultry farming
1. Production of eggs, with laying hens
2. Production of day-old chicks
3. Feeding of day-old chicks and then selling the flesh at term (45 days on average )
This application manages the activity of point 3.
How does this activity work?
First step: Acquiring a space
A place is necessary to maintain the chicks, and protect them from predators. This place is the Chicken Coop.
This place must be equipped in order to facilitate the maintenance of the chicks. Water point, electricity, a caretaker (perhaps oneself).
Second step: Buying the chicks
Once the henhouse has been set up, we can buy our 1-day-old chicks to put them in the henhouse and start raising them properly.
From the purchase of chicks to their disposal is a period, the set of chicks maintained is called a Band. So a period corresponds to the purchase of the chicks until their disposal (sale).
1. Maintenance consists of carrying out work, purchases, more generally expenses for the good growth of the chicks.
2. Management of mortalities, unfortunately it is very difficult to raise chicks without some dying. But it is interesting to follow up on these losses.
3. The sale of chickens when they reach maturity.
Third step: Finding customers
This part is very important, you have to find customers to quickly sell chickens when they reach 45 days. The rapid flow of chickens allows the next band to be engaged.
Fourth stage: management of the activity
If we want to develop the activity, it becomes necessary to set up a monitoring system. This follow-up can be ensured by an Excel file which means that it is necessary to have a computer on which is installed Excel or equivalent.
You can also use a tool dedicated to monitoring such activity.
